Demand an end to the Carnegie Learning Program!

Carnegie is a new mathematics learning program that was implemented in 2015, targeting High School students, along with an online course separate to the in class curriculum! This not only confuses students, but most students can't use the mandatory online course because of it's use of Java scripts (which have been blocked by most browsers because of its ability to be hacked). Speaking from personal experience, it took an hour of lowering all my security levels to the lowest possible settings just to get the program to run on my browser. Now I can't use that computer for any personal use because of the security risk!

As for the in class curriculum, teachers are required by Carnegie and the School Board to not help students and forbids teachers from reviewing material for exams, as explained by a High School algebra 2 Teacher in Florida, USA, and according to a math professor at St. Petersburg College, "The problems presented by Carnegie are miss-worded and are meant for you to fail."  He also agreed that the math classes Carnegie is associated with are very poor. Carnegie expects us to learn on our own with very little help. Even the textbook, if you can call them text books, hardly teach you much. You have 3 different volumes for the entire curriculum, one as a supplement, the others 3-4 inch thick workbooks with only hints and vocabulary terms.

So help us stop the madness that is Carnegie, and bring back better education for students. Together we can make education better for us and future generations.
